Our Editorial Guidelines — What They Cover
IPTV Concepts publishes educational content about IPTV technology for Canadian viewers. Every article follows strict editorial guidelines designed to ensure accuracy, transparency, and genuine value. These guidelines govern how we research, who writes, and how we handle commercial relationships. Editorial Guideline 1 — Author Specialisation
Every article is assigned to one of three named Canadian authors.
Liam Tremblay, based in Toronto, covers IPTV technology, streaming protocols, legal topics, and Canadian ISP behaviour. Emma Bouchard in Vancouver covers device setup guides and troubleshooting. Noah MacKenzie in Calgary covers app reviews and device comparisons.
Author assignments are not interchangeable. The technology analyst will not write a setup guide. A legal article will not be written by the app reviewer.

Editorial Guideline 2 — Accuracy First
Accuracy is the primary editorial standard at IPTV Concepts.
Every factual claim must be supported by a verifiable source before publication. For technical content, this means referencing official documentation or verified Canadian network data. For legal content, this means referencing official Canadian government sources—including crtc.gc.ca, justice.gc.ca, and priv.gc.ca.
For pricing and product information, figures are verified directly from official provider websites at the time of writing.
Time-sensitive information is clearly labelled with a publication or review date. Articles covering topics that change frequently — ISP policies, app versions, CRTC rulings — are scheduled for regular review.
We only publish information we can verify. We do not present speculation as confirmed fact.
Editorial Guideline 3 — Real Personal Experience
Personal experience is a significant component of our editorial approach and a genuine E-E-A-T signal.
Where an author has directly tested a device, app, or setup on a real Canadian network connection, that experience is included with details — device model, app version, ISP, Canadian city, and date of testing.
However, personal experience is never fabricated. If an author has not directly tested something, neutral expert language is used instead. We do not write “I tested this on Bell Fibe” unless that testing actually occurred.
This is a firm editorial rule with no exceptions.
Editorial Guideline 4 — Canadian Specificity
Every article on this website is written for Canadian viewers — not adapted from generic international content.
This means referencing Bell Canada, Rogers, and Telus by name. It means using CAD pricing only. It means citing CRTC regulations rather than FCC or Ofcom. It means acknowledging that a setup that works on Toronto fibre may behave differently on rural Starlink in Northern Ontario.
Canadian specificity is not a keyword strategy — it is an editorial standard. Our editorial guidelines exist to make every article genuinely useful to the person reading it in Canada.
Editorial Guideline 5 — Commercial Transparency
Affiliate revenue does not influence editorial decisions at IPTV Concepts.
IPTV Concepts earns affiliate commissions on some outbound links to VPN services, streaming devices, and IPTV applications. These relationships are fully listed on our Affiliate Disclosure page.
Authors are not informed of commission rates when producing content. We do not accept payment for editorial coverage or positive reviews. If a product is not suitable for Canadian users, we say so—regardless of any affiliate program.
If we ever publish sponsored content, we will clearly label it and keep it entirely separate from our editorial articles.
